I have over ten years of teaching experience, and most recently I was at Leysin American School as a Visiting Scholar. Before Leysin, I worked at the American School of Barcelona. I have also taught at Michigan State and the University of Minnesota.

Christian's story

Christian has over ten years of teaching experience. Most recently, he was at Leysin American School as a Visiting Scholar, where he initiated a collaboration to create interactive and engaging laboratory activities related to evolution and genetics. Before Leysin, Christian worked at the American School of Barcelona. Christian has also taught at Michigan State and the University of Minnesota.

Christian continues to love learning and is currently pursuing his seventh degree, a Masters degree in History through Harvard Extension School. He has two degrees in education. In 2021 he completed a Masters degree in Education & Globalisation at Moreland University. The focus of his thesis was on the factors that help students assimilate to a new school, knowledge that will be of great use in Copperfield’s context. And in 2014, Christian graduated from Teachers College at Columbia University with a Masters degree in the Teaching of Social Studies. Christian attended Michigan State University and graduated with four Bachelor's degrees: History; Zoology; the History, Philosophy, and Sociology of Science; Political Theory & Constitutional Democracy. As a student he took the IB Diploma Programme at the International School of Lima, Peru.

Christian enjoys working with students on student-led projects. He loves soccer (Visca el Barça), food, reading, and travelling. He speaks English, Spanish and is proficient in French and Portuguese.
