Singer, guitarist, songwriter/composer Eliane Amherd is a true cosmopolitan artist: Born in Switzerland, she lives in New York, and it is that city’s savvy multicultural energy that most influences her original music: jazzy, groovy and rooted in African, Brazilian and Latin music. Inventive, enchanted yet earthy.
A graduate of NYC's New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music, Amherd performs in New York’s premiere clubs tours all over the world. Her albums “La Dégustation”, “Skylines” and “Now and from Now on” and her Swiss Miss Sampler “heimweh”, featuring renown Swiss artists, continue to receive great press reviews and have topped the play lists of several US Radio Stations. In 2013 she was a candidate of the first edition of "the Voice of Switzerland” and in 2017 she was the runner up for "best Singer Songwriter in Switzerland" at the Montreux Jazz Festival.

Eliane said: "We're very much looking forward to performing for the students and faculty at Copperfield International School in Verbier. I'm inspired and impressed by the way the school understands the value of art and music and the way in which it is integrated into the curriculum. We are honored and can't wait to share our music with you!"

This concert aligns with our core values of internationalism and diversity, and during the series we will hear a range of genres, from classical to jazz, from rock to free improvisation. We are truly thrilled to have shared such a unique experience with the whole Copperfield community.
