Copperfield Verbier Opens Its Doors
On January 11, 2021, the world's first and only ski-in, ski-out international school opened in Verbier. We were delighted to welcome all of our new students and families to our Copperfield Community, and we look forward to this new adventure with all of them. We are building a unique school where the educational philosophy and the physical environment are like no other in the world.

Copperfield hire Verbier local, Itziar Michellod, to lead school administration.
We have hired Itziar Michellod, a Verbier local with extensive experience in the Swiss banking industry, as our new School Administrator. Itziar will take care of all things administrative, while also helping to strengthen communication links between parents and the faculty.

Copperfield hire ex-Cambridge debater as English and Humanities teacher
Copperfield Verbier is delighted to announce the recent hire of Oliver Riley as a teacher of English and Humanities. Olli arrives having graduated with first-class honours from the University of Cambridge, where he was an active debater and captain of the athletics club.

Copperfield hire ex-Oxford captain as English and Humanities teacher
We are thrilled to announce the imminent arrival of Leonardo Ackerman as a teacher of English and Humanities. Leo studied at Oxford University, where he served as the captain of the Men's Blues team, and graduated in Modern History. He brings a wealth of academic and non-academic expertise to offer our students.

Copperfield students complete school's first iGCSEs
On Friday, May 7, three Copperfield students took iGCSE exams in Mathematics, German and French.
These studious three were all well ahead of the expected age for sitting iGCSEs, in one case a full three years in advance. We are extremely proud of these students for their bravery and endeavour to work hard after such a challenging year of education.

Ex-Oxford Economics and Management graduate joining to lead Copperfield maths department.
We are delighted to announce the recent hire of Gabrielle Saperia, a first-class graduate in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford. Gabrielle will lead our maths department while also bringing an array of creative and sporting talents to campus, such as dance and netball.

Headmaster takes advisory role at Sevenoaks
We are delighted to announce that Dr Hugh McCormick has been appointed as Head of International Engagement at Sevenoaks School, one of the world’s foremost schools. This appointment will not affect Hugh’s duties for Copperfield Verbier.
